Cedric came home in 2022, at 8 weeks old, on antibiotics for a stomach bug his litter had contracted. They wrecked his gut, and he couldn't hold down his kibble. As a last resort, we fed him a boiled egg. Not only did he love it, but it also helped settle his stomach and gave him the energy to heal. That one small meal caused us to question everything. Why was his body rejecting kibble? What should he actually be eating for the best possible life?

​We started feeding him home cooked food, but the lack of resources made it difficult to do it on our own. We tried nutrition calculators, but after finding mistakes in the leading ones, we had to build our own.
